Finance

Where our money comes from and what we spend it on?

Core financial resources of UNDP come from the United Nations member countries through voluntary contributions. UNDP also mobilizes non-core resources that come from donors, Government and various UNDP trust funds.

The UNDP programme in Montenegro in 2010 was mostly funded by contributions from bilateral donors, the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the Global Environement Facility (list of major source of funding attached).

The funds are spent to support further strengthening of Montenegro’s institutions, improving administrative capacities and addressing issues of social exclusion in the country as it moves towards membership of the European Union and achieving of the Millennium Development Goals.
