Social Inclusion

Advocacy objective of the Social Inclusion Cluster:

Increased capacities of the institutions of Montenegrin civil society and Government, including the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare, for effective implementation of anti-corruption, health (HIV/AIDS and TB), gender sensitive and employment policies for greater social inclusion of marginalized groups.

In line with the Millennium Development Goals 1, 3 and 6, the UNDP Montenegro works on the following:

- In partnership with key Ministries and institutions, support to the vulnerable and social groups at risk of exclusion – especially Roma who are the poorest group of people in Montenegrin society - in their efforts to access social and health services, employment and development opportunities;
- Continued encouraging of participation of women in business, politics and governance;
- Support to the implementation of the Government’s strategies for HIV/AIDS prevention and tuberculosis control in Montenegro;
- Support to the effective implementation of anti-corruption initiatives by raising public awareness and by strengthening the civil society capacities to participate in the development and the implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime;
- Support in preparation of National Human Development Reports and Millenium Development  Goals Reports.
