• Political empowerment of women, and
• Economic agenda for women
Project Components :

- A sustainable and efficient system for the protection of victims of domestic violence has been established, and sustainable measures to combat domestic violence have been introduced.
2. POLITICAL EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN
- Gender sensitivity in political parties and administrative authorities strengthened.
3. ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN
- Women’s entrepreneurship and employment enhanced through the development and implementation of specific measures
Brief Description:
The aim of the Project is to support achievement of sustainable and efficient system for the protection of victims of domestic violence and sustainable measures to combat violence in family. Focus is to ensure that the new Law on Protection of Victims of Violence is fairly interpreted and implemented in daily practice, ensuring that victims do experience system-wide support. Creation of a sustainable coordination and monitoring multidisciplinary mechanism at the national and local level will be priority. Second component focuses on enhancing gender sensitivity in political parties and administrative authorities. Party and electoral system reform have proved as an effective entry points for increasing women’s political activism. We will have a three-fold approach:
1) empowerment of women politicians and sensitization of their male colleagues;
2) strengthening of political party structures by introducing gender-sensitive policies and programmes and
3) improving legislation by introducing gender-sensitive provisions in the Electoral Law, the Law on Political Parties and the Law on Financing of Political Parties.
Third component of the Project aims to enhance women’s entrepreneurship and employment through the development and implementation of specific economic measures. It will strengthen women’s entrepreneurship through setting up a revolving Trust Fund for Women, which will provide support and guidance for female entrepreneurs under affordable financial arrangements. The training programme and promotional campaign will be organized to support women’s entrepreneurship, and a network of female entrepreneurs.
