Social welfare and child care system reform - Enhancing social inclusion

Component 2: Social Welfare Reform

UNDP CO Montenegro, together with Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (MLSW), Ministry of Education (MoE ) and UNICEF developed a joint project: “Enhancing Social Inclusion” composed of 3 components funded by European Commission through IPA. UNDP implements component No. 2 worth 1.3mil Euro dealing with Social welfare reform. The project commences in January 2011 and it lasts 30 months. 

This project component builds and strengthens the institutional mechanisms and capacities that will enable development of community-based social services. The services will be responsive to the needs of the vulnerable groups and will contribute to their social inclusion and quality of life.
